Description.

Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and rehabilitation across NHS hospitals, community services, social care teams, and specialist clinical pathways. Support functional independence, safe discharge planning, adaptive equipment needs, and therapeutic interventions for adults and children with physical, cognitive, or mental health conditions.

Key Requirements.

Experience.

  • Minimum 1–2 years’ post-registration experience delivering occupational therapy in hospital, community, or specialist rehabilitation settings.

  • Skilled in functional assessment, goal planning, rehabilitation programmes, equipment provision, and environmental adaptations.

  • Experience contributing to MDTs including physiotherapists, nurses, social workers, and community rehabilitation teams.

  • Familiar with NICE guidance, RCOT standards, and clinical pathways for physical, neurological, and mental health rehabilitation.

Qualifications.

  • BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy or recognised equivalent.

  • Full HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.

  • CPD in rehabilitation, functional assessment, specialist pathways, or assistive technology.

Compliance and Vetting.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

  • Full identity and right-to-work verification.

  • Two recent professional references.

  • Up-to-date NHS Statutory and Mandatory Training.

  • Immunisation compliance for hospital and community clinical environments.

  • Full HCPC registration and fitness-to-practise check.

  • Verification of qualifications and employment history.
