Before You Get Started.

Make sure you have the required documents ready before accessing the Candidate Portal. This allows us to complete onboarding quickly and efficiently. You will need:

  • Curriculum vitae: Please provide an up-to-date CV detailing your complete employment history and accounting for any gaps between positions (e.g., unemployment, gap year travel, career breaks).

    References X2: Provide two references covering three years, or one reference covering five years. Include contact details: work email, job role, phone number, and address. Referees must be current or former line managers / supervisors or, if you're a student, a teacher / lecturer / tutor. 

  • Right to Work in the UK

    Please provide one of the following documents to verify your eligibility to work in the United Kingdom:

    UK Passport
    Clear colour copy of the photo page. Must be valid.

    Irish Passport
    Clear colour copy of the photo page. Irish citizens do not require a visa.

    EU/EEA/Swiss Citizens (with digital status)
    Share Code and date of birth for an online right-to-work check.

    Biometric Residence Permit (BRP)
    Clear colour copy of the front and back and a Share Code for online verification.

    Biometric Residence Card (Pre-2020)
    Share Code required (physical cards are no longer accepted alone).

    UK Birth Certificate + Proof of National Insurance
    Full or short birth certificate plus an official NI document.

  • Identity Verification

    Please provide one of the following combinations:

    Option A

    • Two forms of photographic ID
    • One proof of address document

    Option B

    • One form of photographic ID
    • Two proof of address documents

    At least one document must include your signature.

    If you do not have photographic ID

    You must provide:
    • Two forms of non-photographic ID
    • Two proof of address documents
    • One passport-sized photo signed by a reputable community member confirming your identity

    Accepted Photographic ID

    Passport

    Clear colour copy with all four corners visible. Include the photo page and any inner pages showing personal details.

    Driving Licence

    Clear colour copy showing your full name and current address.

    National Identity Card / Immigration Documents

    Valid national ID card, or Home Office documentation confirming immigration status and permission to work.

    Work or Hospital Photo ID (for ID badge only)

    A clear photo with a plain white background may be required for your ID badge.

    Proof of Address (provide two)

    Documents must be dated within the last 3 months.
    (Mobile phone bills are not accepted.)

    • Recent utility bill
    • Bank or building society statement
    • Mortgage statement
    • Local authority tenancy agreement or rent statement
    • Benefit letter from DWP
    • Electoral register confirmation
    • Court document
    • Official document (e.g., P60, P45, payslip)

    National Insurance Number

    Provide a clear colour copy of one of the following:

    • National Insurance Card (if still held)
    • Letter from HMRC or DWP confirming your NI number
    • Payslip showing NI number
    • P60 or P45 showing NI number

  • Professional Registration

    Provide evidence of your current, active registration with the correct UK regulatory body:

    Nurses & Midwives
    • NMC Registration Screenshot showing:
    – Full name
    – PIN
    – Active status
    – Renewal/expiry date

    Pharmacists
    • GPhC Registration Screenshot showing current active registration

    Allied Health Professionals (AHPs)
    • HCPC Registration Screenshot showing current active registration

    Healthcare Assistants & Support Workers
    • Any relevant certificates or care qualifications (e.g., Care Certificate, NVQ/QCF Level 2/3)

    Qualifications

    Upload clear copies of all relevant qualifications:

    Nurses & Midwives:
    • Degree or Diploma in Nursing/Midwifery
    • Any post-graduate or specialist qualifications

    Pharmacists:
    • MPharm degree or recognised equivalent
    • Pre-registration training completion

    AHPs:
    • Degree relevant to profession (e.g., Physiotherapy, Radiography, OT, etc.)

    HCAs & Support Workers:
    • Care Certificate or equivalent
    • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 (if held)

    Indemnity Insurance

    Provide evidence of current professional indemnity cover, such as:
    • RCN, CSP, or other membership body confirmation
    • Personal policy document
    • Employer-provided indemnity (if applicable — must show proof)

  • As required under UK law, you must disclose any unspent criminal convictions or prosecutions pending.

    For roles involving regulated activity or direct contact with service users, an Enhanced DBS check will be completed. This may also include a check of the Barred Lists, depending on the role.

    If relevant to your position, you may be asked to provide details of spent convictions, including:
    • Date of offence
    • Type of offence
    • Outcome, sentence, or fine imposed

    This information must be accurate and complete.

    Enhanced DBS Check

    All healthcare roles require a current Enhanced DBS check, which must be completed and verified before placement.
    If you already hold a DBS certificate, you may be able to use the DBS Update Service if your subscription is active.

  • All mandatory training must be up-to-date and compliant with Irish standards. Training requirements vary based on the role applied for.

    Annual practical update required (NHS Framework).

  • Adult BLS, with Paediatric BLS if role requires.
    Annual practical update required.

  • Core fire safety and evacuation principles.
    Annual update required.

  • Includes hand hygiene, PPE, and standard precautions.
    Valid for 2 years.
    (Some trusts require annual updates.)

  • Handling patient information safely and lawfully.
    Valid for 1 year.

  • Managing challenging behaviours safely.
    Valid for 3 years.

  • Core workplace safety standards.
    Valid for 3 years.

  • Required for all NHS agency workers.
    Valid for 3 years.

  • Required for all staff in health and social care.
    Valid for 3 years.

  • Protecting digital systems, information, and devices.
    Valid for 1–2 years depending on provider.
