Description.
Provide person-centred support within residential care homes, assisting residents with daily living, personal care, mobility, meals, social engagement, and safe ongoing support within a structured care-home environment. Contribute to residents’ wellbeing, comfort, dignity, and day-to-day quality of life.
Key Requirements.
Experience.
Minimum 6–12 months’ experience working in residential care, supported living, or elderly care settings.
Skilled in personal care, safe moving and handling, supporting residents with dementia or cognitive decline, and delivering daily living assistance.
Experience working as part of a care-home team alongside Senior Carers, Nurses, and management staff.
Familiar with CQC standards, care-home safeguarding requirements, infection control, and person-centred care planning.
Qualifications.
Care Certificate or equivalent induction training desirable.
Level 2 or Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification advantageous but not essential.
CPD in dementia awareness, moving and handling, communication skills, and residential care practices.
Compliance and Vetting.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
Full identity and right-to-work verification.
Two recent care-based references.
Up-to-date statutory and mandatory training for residential care environments.
Immunisation compliance where required by the provider.
Verification of qualifications, training, and employment history.
