Description.
Provide clinical and operational support within community pharmacies under the supervision of the appointed Responsible Pharmacist (RP). Assist with safe dispensing, clinical assessments, workload management, and delivery of NHS community pharmacy services across locum assignments.
Key Requirements.
Experience.
Minimum 1–2 years’ post-registration experience in community pharmacy or primary care clinical services.
Skilled in dispensing accuracy, clinical checking, minor ailments consultations, and supporting high-volume workflows.
Experience working alongside the RP to maintain safe operations, resolve queries, and support day-to-day staff coordination.
Familiar with GPhC standards, NHS community pharmacy frameworks, and PMR systems.
Qualifications.
MPharm degree (or recognised equivalent) with full GPhC registration.
Understanding of Responsible Pharmacist regulations, even when not acting as RP.
CPD in community clinical services, vaccination, minor ailments, and safe medicines supply.
Compliance and Vetting.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
Full identity and right-to-work verification.
Two recent professional references.
Up-to-date NHS Statutory and Mandatory Training.
Immunisation compliance for patient-facing pharmacy services.
Full GPhC registration and fitness-to-practise check.
Verification of qualifications and employment history.
