Description.
Provide nursing care across medical and surgical wards in both NHS hospitals and private healthcare settings. Support acute and routine inpatient care, deliver safe medication administration, monitor clinical progress, and contribute to care planning and recovery across a wide range of medical and surgical conditions.
Key Requirements.
Experience.
Minimum 1–2 years’ post-registration experience in medical, surgical, acute inpatient, or general ward nursing.
Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, post-operative monitoring, and escalation of deteriorating patients.
Experience working within multidisciplinary ward teams including doctors, AHPs, theatre teams, and discharge coordinators.
Familiar with ward protocols, NEWS2, infection-control standards, and clinical governance requirements across NHS and private hospitals.
Qualifications.
Full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as an Adult Nurse.
Additional training in acute care, IV therapy, or surgical care desirable.
CPD in acute medicine, surgical care pathways, patient assessment, and clinical safety.
Compliance and Vetting.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
Full identity and right-to-work verification.
Two recent clinical references.
Up-to-date NHS Statutory and Mandatory Training (accepted by both NHS and private providers).
Immunisation compliance for hospital clinical environments.
Full NMC registration and fitness-to-practise check.
Verification of qualifications and employment history.
