Description.

Provide primary care nursing services within GP practices, PCNs, and community clinics. Deliver chronic disease management, treatment room duties, immunisations, cervical screening, health promotion, and safe clinical assessment for adults and children across routine and long-term care pathways.

Experience.

  • Minimum 1–2 years’ post-registration experience in general practice nursing, primary care, community nursing, or adult acute clinical settings.

  • Skilled in wound care, long-term condition reviews (e.g., diabetes, respiratory, hypertension), cytology, vaccinations, and treatment room duties.

  • Experience working collaboratively with GPs, nurse practitioners, healthcare assistants, and wider PCN multidisciplinary teams.

  • Familiar with primary care protocols, QOF requirements, safeguarding processes, and clinical governance standards in general practice.

Qualifications.

  • Full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as an Adult Nurse.

  • Cervical screening and childhood immunisation training desirable (essential for many practice roles).

  • CPD in primary care, chronic disease management, treatment room skills, and preventative health services.

Compliance Vetting.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

  • Full identity and right-to-work verification.

  • Two recent clinical references.

  • Up-to-date NHS Statutory and Mandatory Training (accepted across NHS and primary care providers).

  • Immunisation compliance for primary care and community clinical environments.

  • Full NMC registration and fitness-to-practise check.

  • Verification of qualifications and employment history.
