Description.

Support research, teaching, and evidence-based practice within universities, NHS research teams, and clinical research environments. Contribute to study design, data analysis, clinical trial delivery, and academic teaching that advances pharmacy practice and patient care.

Key Requirements.

Experience.

  • Minimum 1–2 years’ post-registration experience in academic, research, or evidence-based practice.

  • Skilled in research methods, data interpretation, literature evaluation, and preparation of academic or scientific outputs.

  • Experience contributing to clinical trials, NIHR studies, university teaching, or applied practice research.

  • Confident collaborating with multidisciplinary academic teams, clinicians, statisticians, and research governance colleagues.

Qualifications.

  • MPharm degree (or recognised equivalent) with full GPhC registration.

  • Postgraduate qualification in Research Methods, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacology, or a related discipline desirable.

  • CPD in research governance, academic practice, or study design.

Compliance and Vetting.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

  • Full identity and right-to-work verification.

  • Two recent professional or academic references.

  • Up-to-date NHS Statutory and Mandatory Training where roles involve patient-facing duties.

  • Immunisation compliance where research activity involves clinical settings.

  • Full GPhC registration and fitness-to-practise check.

  • Verification of qualifications and employment history.
