Key Requirements.
Experience.
Minimum of 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience in a hospital or community pharmacy.
Experience in:
Dispensary operations
Medicines reconciliation
Stock management
Accuracy checking (where accredited)
Preferred for hospital roles:
Ward-based support
Aseptic or clean-room experience
Clinical medicines-management duties
Qualifications.
Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Completed one of the following Level 3 qualifications:
Diploma in Pharmacy Services
NVQ Level 3
Other GPhC-recognised equivalent
Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) accreditation where required by the trust
Vetting and Compliance.
Enhanced DBS.
Full identity and right-to-work verification.
Two recent professional references.
Up-to-date NHS Statutory & Mandatory Training.
Immunisation compliance.
Full GPhC registration and fitness-to-practise check.
Verification of qualifications and employment history.
Confirmation of technical competency, including accuracy checking (where accredited) and core dispensing skills.
