Description.
Provide specialist oncology and chemotherapy pharmacy services within NHS cancer centres, oncology wards, day-case units, and aseptic preparation services. Support safe systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT), optimise treatment regimens, and contribute to multidisciplinary cancer care.
Key Requirements.
Experience.
Minimum 2 years’ post-registration experience in oncology, haematology, or SACT services
Skilled in SACT verification, toxicity assessment, treatment protocol interpretation, and high-risk medicines management.
Experience working with oncology MDTs, supporting solid tumour and haematology pathways, and ensuring safe delivery of complex therapies.
Familiar with e-prescribing for oncology (ARIA, ChemoCare, EPMA) and national SACT governance requirements.
Qualifications.
MPharm degree (or recognised equivalent) with full GPhC registration.
Postgraduate diploma or certificate in Clinical Pharmacy desirable.
Postgraduate oncology/haematology training or accredited chemotherapy/SACT verification training preferred.
CPD in oncology therapeutics, SACT governance, and high-risk medicines management.
