Description.
Provide specialist radiotherapy services within NHS cancer centres, delivering safe and accurate radiation treatment for patients with cancer. Support treatment planning, image-guided radiotherapy, patient assessment, and contribute to multidisciplinary cancer care across radiotherapy pathways.
Key Requirements.
Experience.
Minimum 1–2 years’ post-registration experience in radiotherapy practice within an NHS or equivalent oncology setting.
Skilled in treatment delivery, imaging verification, patient positioning, and operating radiotherapy equipment such as LINACs.
Experience supporting treatment planning, IGRT, IMRT, VMAT, and advanced radiotherapy techniques.
Familiar with radiotherapy safety standards, local protocols, and national oncology guidelines.
Qualifications.
BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography (or recognised equivalent).
Full HCPC registration as a Therapeutic Radiographer.
CPD in radiotherapy techniques, oncology care, and image-guided treatment.
Compliance and Vetting.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
Full identity and right-to-work verification.
Two recent professional references.
Up-to-date NHS Statutory and Mandatory Training.
Immunisation compliance for hospital clinical environments.
Full HCPC registration and fitness-to-practise check.
